Whether you are a team leader, project manager, or simply interested in learning more about the Kanban Method, this course will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed. By the end of the course, you will have a deep understanding of the Kanban Method and be able to apply it in your own work to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Course Intro

The Kanban Management Professional (KMP) is a foundation-level credential that allows you to demonstrate a complete understanding of Kanban systems and the process of beginning a Kanban initiative as well as a broad knowledge of how to improve a system for effective delivery of products and services.

Participants receive their KMP credential by completing both KSD & KSI.

Course Breakdown

The Kanban method is an evolutionary approach to change and change management which starts with what you do now, respecting current roles, responsibilities and job titles, and encouraging acts of leadership at all levels. By agreeing to pursue incremental, evolutionary change that evolves business processes using a Kaizen approach the risks associated with complex change programs are significantly reduced.

What you will learn

Module 1: How to Maximise Agility

Agility is the ability to match the pace demanded by your market. The more frequently your market changes, the more agile you may need to be.

Module 2: Improved Predictability through Flow

There are many ways in which our work can get stuck: dependencies on others, rework, unclear needs, interruptions, and bottlenecks to name a few.

Module 3: Service Delivery Commitment

The Kanban Method allows you to manage your capabilities so that you can make promises that you can keep. With Kanban you can effectively measure your service, judge the impact of changes you introduce, and use data to effectively predict your delivery capabilities.

Module 4: Visual Models

Knowledge Work is largely intangible. Kanban uses visual models such as boards and metrics to “unhide” work in progress. This creates visibility into status and a single point of truth for collaboration.

Module 5: A Culture of Respect & Leadership

In many companies, the structure of the organization prevents people from reaching their full potential; the Kanban Method effectively reveals these pain points.
